Torreyson Library offers several options for printing and copying. Students receive 100 black and white prints/copies pre-paid on their BearCard every semester. After pre-paid printing funds are spent, students may use BearBucks to pay for printing. Black and white printing/copying costs .05 cents per page. Color printing costs $.50 per page.
Patron without a BearCard may purchase a Guest Card at the ADM machine. For $1.00 you receive a print card with 5 black and white prints/copies. You may add more funds to your purchased print card at the ADM machine. Each black and white print/copy page costs .05 cents.
There are over 60 laptops available for checkout at the Circulation Desk. Current UCA students, staff, and faculty are eligible to checkout laptops. Other library patrons such as Arklink members, Hendrix students and faculty, and Alumni members are not eligible to checkout laptops.
Checkout procedure: You must complete and sign the “Laptop Checkout and User Responsibility Contract (see below).” The contract is held for the current semester, with a change in semester you will have to sign a new contract. At the time the contract is signed, a UCA ID along with another photo ID issued by a state or national government are required. Thereafter through the rest of the semester, you will only need to show your UCA ID at checkout.
Loan Period: A laptop may be checked out for two hours and cannot leave the library. No laptops will be checked out during the last hour the library is open.
Lost and damaged laptops: You are fully responsible for the laptop when it is in your possession. If the laptop is damaged, lost, or stolen while checked out to you, you are responsible for replacement costs. If you do not return the laptop it will be considered stolen property and Torreyson library will take any necessary actions to recover the laptop. These actions include contacting the UCA Police Department.
