Mobile Catalog by Carolyn Baker
Now you can search for library books and movies on your smartphone. Recently the library implemented a mobile application that makes it easier to read and navigate the library's online catalog on the smaller screens of mobile devices. The mobile app is available for anyone with a smartphone and is compatible with any iPhone or Android device. Using the browser on your smartphone, type in ucark.uca.edu or select catalog on the library web page, and the mobile catalog will display.
If you would like direct access the next time you need to use the library's catalog, you can add a shortcut on your phone’s home screen. To do this, select the share button and click on Add to Home Screen.
To search using the mobile catalog, type your search in the box and press Go. Information will be displayed in a mobile-friendly format. The initial screen shows the title and its availability in the library. Select a title to find the exact location of the item in the library.
Select the Library Information link to see hours of operation for the library and maps of each floor of the library. There is also a button for My Account that will show what you currently have checked out and allow you to renew those items.
